- New in version 1.14:
-
- *************************************************************
- *** ***
- *** All previous users must re-key all tables ***
- *** ***
- *************************************************************
-
- Upgraded to the Paradox Engine 2.0, giving increased speed. However, all
- tables will need to be re-keyed. (This only needs to be done once.)
-
- The Swedish QSL form has been graciously proofread and corrected by
- Laszlo Breznovits.
-
- Three new QSL forms have been added:
-
- French, Copyright 1992 Felice G. Marchesi and Marc Sauton.
- Hungarian, Copyright 1992 László Breznovits.
- Italian, Copyright 1992 Felice G. Marchesi.
-
- SWLog now detects OS/2 2.0 and is fully compatible with the DOS 5.0
- emulation of OS/2 2.0. If SWLog is run on an HPFS-formatted disk, there
- is a dramatic improvement in disk speed.

- Upgrade information:
-
- The simplest way to upgrade from an earlier version and keep all your
- tables and indices in tact is as follows:
-
- Copy your entire "old" version directory to a temp directory.
- Extract the new version to your \SWLOG directory.
- Copy \OLDSWLOG\*.DB \SWLOG
- Copy \OLDSWLOG\*.PX \SWLOG
- Copy \OLDSWLOG\*.X?? \SWLOG
- Copy \OLDSWLOG\*.Y?? \SWLOG
-
- This will replace the tables shipped with version 1.14 with your own.
- However, you will still have to re-key the tables as version 1.14 uses a
- new database engine.
-
- Just to be sure, backup your tables (*.DB). That way you can always
- copy them to the \SWLOG directory and rekey if anything goes wrong.
-

-
- System requirements:
-
- Short Wave Log is a large program and requires a good deal of system
- resources. You should have at least 30 files and 20 buffers open.
-
- If you are unfamiliar with files & buffers, grab your favorite DOS
- manual and look up CONFIG.SYS. To run Short Wave Log, you should
- have the following lines in your CONFIG.SYS.
-
- files = 30
- buffers = 20
